Qualifications:College degree / diploma in nursing or midwifery Updated Chinese registered nurse licensure and midwife license At least 5 years working experience in midwifery Clinical experience from overseas or international health organizations preferred. Adequate maternity care knowledge and skills based on clinical needs ?Skills:Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese Flexible and a good team player. Command of Microsoft Windows, Exchange/Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. ?Responsibilities:Provide family centered maternity care for OB patients. Conform to the standards of nursing practices while providing physician ordered patient care. Observe and document pertinent information that reflects the patient’s clinical condition. Reports observations to oncoming nurses, charge nurses and physicians. Maintains accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care. Perform or supervise treatment and administer medications as required. Counts narcotics in accordance to the institution’s policies and procedures. Conducts team conferences, keeps plans, and implements and evaluates nursing care. Actively participates in teaching patients and family Documents activities and responds to instructions. Cooperates in maintaining a high level of order, safety and strict control over narcotics and other dangerous drugs. Institutes emergency procedures in the absence of a physician to offset life threatening situations; maintains the defined institution’s policies and procedures. Keep up with current nursing trends and attends continuing education opportunities.
